Early Learning Tools

C2C’s Early Learning Tools (ELT) Program was launched in 2005 in collaboration with the YMCA, 4C, and Cincinnati Learning Centers. Early Learning Tools consist of simple but essential educational and literacy materials created from donated surplus items.

Preschool teachers from a select number of underserved preschools in our region can access hands-on learning materials at no charge.

Eligible shoppers must be lead preschool classroom teachers or preschool program directors employed at a Preschool Center where a high percentage of the children qualify for free or reduced meal reimbursement with the USDA Child Care and Adult Food Program. The Center must also be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. In addition, the Center must either be currently participating in the United Way of Greater Cincinnati Child Care funding program or a 3 STAR Step Up to Quality program.

“I have students whose parents don't or can't provide them with supplies. It is great to be able to help those kids with notebooks, pencils and papers.”
